Learn More about April Welker and the Healthcare Industry!
April began her dental career in 2005. Before traveling the country as a practice management advisor and team coach, she entered the field as a certified dental assistant, and later graduated from dental hygiene school with honors in 2012.
During her clinical career she worked in a family-owned contemporary general practice where team communication and education were of the highest priority and has also worked for a nationally known periodontal practice where she developed the idea for a hands-on hygiene study club. Working clinically, she learned the importance of building strong trustworthy relationships with her patients and team. Her unique ability to relate to teams has made her a successful practice advisor.
April has skillfully guided teams to increase their case acceptance, increase overall production, and create amazing new patient experiences. Her contagious energy, enthusiasm, and optimism have catapulted practices and their teams to not only meet their goals but exceed them. She is truly passionate about building your dream team and practice by implementing proven systems and teamwork.
April loves what she does and believes that every position in dentistry is more than a job. It is extremely rewarding to her when a team comes together to celebrate their successes, large and small. April enjoyed getting to know her patients and working with them on a personal level. She will use that same passion to teach your entire team how to communicate with each other so you can have more confidence working as a team and with your patients. As a result, it will motivate your patients to accept the treatment that will meet their goals and refer other patients to your practice.
April and her family grew up in Ohio but are now Michigan natives. Go Buckeyes! They have two children and are first-time puppy parents to a “Westie.” Their daughter will graduate in 2021 from college with an honors degree in finance and accounting. In the summer you can find them cheering on their son at his little league baseball games. Her interests are health and wellness, trying new recipes, and working on home renovations.
